Vale School of Motoring is run by an experienced Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), David Hirst.

David Hirst’s background is a school teacher with more than 10 years’ experience. This has given him a unique insight into the learning process, which is directly transferable into a car. Consequently, Vale has a patient approach to pupil’s learning, combined with a high degree of communication and coaching.

Students will have access to a full course of learning with lesson plans and visual aids. Wherever the pupil is starting at, we will tailor the learning to suit individual needs. Vale school of motoring aims to coach skills in drivers that will enable them to progress to a safe driving career.

To be able to drive, you will need to pass two tests: a theory test and a practical test. Vale advices that you take your theory when you feel ready and we can provide you with theory training if you need it. The nearest theory centres are Northampton and Peterborough.

As soon as you have passed your theory test, we will review your ability to pass the practical driving test. We include a mock driving test that will enable you to see exactly when you're ready and whether you have reached the required standard. You will also experience what it may be like on a driving test.
